This update was based on the originally released version, not the Plus version, as it was often cited as the better one.
However, the update aims to combine the best of either version.

- Swapped acts 2 and 3 in C4
- Added return pipes in C1 (from act 2) and C4 (from act 3)
- Made the invisible 10 coin box visible

V2.0.2 (made by LinCrash):
- New title screen
- Patched RCVI hack for faster screen loads
- Star messages + Save & Quit option are removed
- Added successful/death exit warps for MC, VC & B2 part 2
- Adjusted the starting positions a bit higher in every level
- More of the dialogue is simplified and fixed 
- 1-up mushrooms can now heal
- Most of the stars are renamed
- Few music tracks are changed
- C3: Added coin indicator hinting for the obvious tree star
- C4: Added coin indicator for star 6
- B1: The red coin star will not kick the player out of the level (respawns in front of the boss pipe)

- Added coins to C3
- Applied patches: All Boos now have blue coins, can do normal jumps on non-slippery steep slopes

- Rotated one of the return pipes in C1
- Relocated the red in the flower bed in C7
- Moved the B1 star to the other lavafall
- Slightly raised the height of the star in B2
- Applied patches: Music plays quietly during pauses, cap music doesn't restart when grabbing a new cap, 8 frame wallkicks, blue coin preview, increased swimming speed

- Undid the red coin counter tweak

- Fixed a tweak that broke the cap music
- Fixed the 46° wallkick tweak
- Slight improvements to the dialogue
- Applied patches: Star Road mario camera, "fix half the soundbugs" (by Kaze), recover from slidekicks with B, sleeping refills health, 10 coins from boxes spawn as 2 blue coins

- Applied the death on pause exit patch
- Fixed the failure warp on the final Bowser fight

- C7: Added 20 coins and an indicator for the box switch
- Reverted Mario camera
- Made the camera be in Lakitu perspective on level entry and always match Mario's facing angle
